Our fleeces are processed at the only certified organic tannery in England. They make ideal gifts especially for a newborn child as they are unlikely to trigger allergies and can even be machine-washed!It's well known that babies settle quicker and sleep better on these fleeces than on normal mattresses. They also help premature babies regulate their own temperature naturally and can even aid their digestion.
Super warm and extra fluffy each fleece averages just over 1 meter long and 70cm wide. Perfect for all ages! Colours may vary, usually gold, white or patches of brown/black.
Please request the colour you would like and we will do our best to match but understand there is a lot of natural variation with each fleece.

Organically Cured Fleeces
Washing: Firstly make sure your item really needs a wash. Unlike manmade materials, wool does not need to be washed frequently. Try gentle spot cleaning and regular airing instead. A stiff bristled brush can often bring a flattened or ditry fleece back to life.
If you do need to wash your product, then choose a machine wash cycle at a temperature no higher than 30 degrees and use the delicates/wool wash if you have one. If you are using soap then make sure it is suitable for the wool you are washing and use a small amount.
If you are hand washing, soak the item in tepid water for about half an hour, then rinse well and press out the excess water, without wringing.
